Start Date:

Performs security patrols of Art Museum galleries when open to the public and follows established opening and closing procedures to protect the collection, an important and valuable MHC resource Remains alert and observant in monitoring visitor interaction with objects on exhibit or displayed for class visits Recognizes emergencies and responds quickly and calmly, applying sound judgment and notifying Public Safety in situations including fire (alarms); medical or physical accident; environmental changes; art damage; suspicious behavior; vandalism; theft Serves as frontline Museum staff for visitor experience that is welcoming and inclusive Provides a high level of customer service during interactions with all visitors. Understands the mission of the Museum and aligns performance and actions with diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility principles and those of the College's anti-racist action plan This is an academic year position. Hours are Tuesday

  • Friday 11am
  • 5pm & Saturday
  • Sunday 1
  • 5pm.

Additional hours as needed for special events and tours on evenings and weekends. We are hoping to hire one or two Museum Guards to cover all of the shifts. Final scheduling will depend on the availability of those hired to fill the position.
