Scope:
Become a vital part of the Admissions team through the McDaniel Ambassador Program! Student ambassadors provide prospective students and families with an authentic look at life at McDaniel College by sharing their own experiences. This is your opportunity to build meaningful connections, develop professional skills in communication and leadership, strengthen your resume, and play an essential role in helping future Green Terrors find their home at McDaniel.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service to prospective students and their families Assist with visit programs by welcoming guests, providing directional assistance, participating on student panels. Host prospective students for lunch and/or classes Lead tours for families and visiting groups to showcase the McDaniel experience. Engage with perspective students via phone, Zoom, and other digital entities Assist with front desk duties including answering phones, greeting guests, etc. Assist in creating written and visual content for social media marketing Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Current undergraduate student at McDaniel College. Involved in the campus community and proud to be a McDaniel student Strong communication and human relations skills Highly organized and detail oriented Ability to accurately assess and handle phone calls, visitor requests, etc., with discretion and a positive attitude Discretion and reliability in sensitive and confidential matters are vital Highly reliable and committed to the success of the ambassador program
Physical Characteristics:
This job can include long periods of sitting or standing depending on scheduled duty. Students are sometimes in a traditional office setting, but can mostly be outside in various weather conditions
