Being an Axe Chucker is the job you've been looking for! What is an Axe Chucker? Whether you are an axe-pert or a first time flannel-wearer, everyone needs a friendly face while being provided food & beverage service during an axe throwing session! The Fair on 4 offers half-hour and hour-long Axe Throwing sessions for parties of 1 to 12+ people at a time. The Axe Chucker is responsible for making sure the experience is fun, safe, and memorable by demonstrating and coaching different axe throwing techniques and helping the guests play through games and challenges for a unique "danger-tainment" experience unlike anything else. A high-energy attitude and a patience for teaching new skills is key to being a great Axe Chucker. We can build up your axe throwing skills and turn you into a pro to stick a bullseye so you can get every guest to do the same! We offer both walk-in and reservation times for axe throwing as well as hosting large groups and corporate events. One day you may be juggling several different small groups of guests at once and the next be coaching a group of 50+ people! About us The Fair on 4 is a family entertainment center located on Level 4 East, inside Mall of America. Featuring an indoor Go Kart race track, 11 Axe Throwing lanes, Smart Darts, Arcade Games, and more

The Fair on 4 also offers a full bar with over 32 draft beers, hand-tossed pizza, and State Fair inspired food!
Responsibilities:
  • Provide coaching and guidance to individuals or groups that are coming in to throw axes.
  • Take drink and food orders.
  • Provide great customer service.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the restaurant industry is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey instructions.
  • Ability to work well with individuals of different ages and backgrounds
  • Patience and empathy to support individuals in their learning journey
  • Organizational skills to plan and manage several axe coaching sessions
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures relevant to axe throwing
