Job Title Fall 2026 SUNY Cortland Admissions Tour Guide
Department Admissions
Job Description/Duties Provide campus tours to prospective students and their families
Answer any questions guests have
Greet and welcome all guests
Days/Hours Needed Tour times are:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday morning: 9 a.m. to noon
Tuesday, Thursday morning: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Monday through Friday afternoon : 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
•Each hired guide may have the opportunity to be assigned ONE three hour shift a week.
Additional students may be hired as subs who can pick up shifts based on availability.
Campus Location/Bldg. Brockway Hall, Jacobus Lounge
Miller Building, Admissions lobby (first floor)
Required Qualifications Must be a current SUNY Cortland student
Great public speaking skills
Exceptional communication skills
Knowledgeable of campus resources and policies
Love of SUNY Cortland
Preferred Qualifications Flexible schedule
Physical Demands Walking around campus in all weather conditions for approximately 2 hours.
Occasional lifting and moving of office supplies and recruitment material.
