Summer 2026 SUNY Cortland Admissions Tour Guide

/Duties Conduct campus tours for prospective students, families, high school students and other visitors. Answer questions and interact with guests to enhance their experience. Share insights about academic programs, extracurricular activities, and campus resources. Greet and welcome all guests.

Days/Hours Needed Tour times are:

Monday- Friday at 10 a.m. and noon Student is required to have at least 2 shifts a week Scheduling is based on availability of staff Dates needed: June 1 through August 21 Campus Location/Bldg. Brockway Hall, Jacobus Lounge Miller Building, Admissions lobby (first floor) Required Qualifications Must be a current SUNY student Great public speaking and communication skills Ability to engage and connect with a diverse audience Knowledgeable of campus resources and policies Love of SUNY Cortland Preferred Qualifications Live in Cortland County or surrounding counties Previous experience in customer service, education, or public speaking is a plus Knowledge of various academic majors and student life Enthusiasm and passion, adaptability, teamwork, cultural competence, organizational skills Physical Demands Walking around campus in all weather conditions for approximately 2 hours. Occasional lifting and moving of office supplies and recruitment material.
