As the eyes and ears of our treetop challenge courses, your main responsibility will be to ensure the safety and well-being of guests, while providing them with help and guidance as needed. Our park monitors are dedicated to ensuring that each guest has a memorable and enjoyable experience, and don't worry if you don't have any experience - we provide comprehensive training! Ideal candidates will have full weekend availability, experience working in a family friendly environment, excellent guest relation skills, and a comfort level working at height.

Specific Responsibilities:

Greet guests and providing general park information and direction. Helping guests into harnesses as well as delivering instructional safety briefings and gear demonstrations. Observe and assist guests as they maneuver throughout the park and the attractions, ensuring that guests are using equipment properly and safely. Some staff will help guests and perform rescues on the courses, as needed. Perform daily course inspections and equipment checks. Monitors are responsible for checking and maintaining park equipment.

Education/Know How:

Minimum age requirement of 18 years old. At least one year of post-secondary education experience (college, work, or other) strongly preferred. Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control. Should be energetic and customer service oriented. Must have regular weekend availability; ideal candidates will also have flexible weekday availability Must have strong communication skills and a kind, patient approach to working with people, family and kid friendly. Good character, integrity, and ability to adapt to an outdoor setting. High school graduate Speak fluent

English Physical & Mental Demands:

Ability to lift 40 lbs. Position requires ability to walk around the rough terrain of ZipZone Outdoor Adventures. Able to stand/move without sitting for four to five hours at a time. Able to handle all emergency situations that may arise. Must be comfortable working at heights up to 65 feet.

Schedule:

This is seasonal position with an emphasis on working weekends — generally 15-25hr/week based on availability. Flexible schedule This position is available starting in Early Augustl and goes through early November - mostly weekend work. There is a mandatory training session required for all candidates (and it is pretty fun!).
