POSITION
At Cascade Caverns, the oldest show cave attraction in Texas (and #1 rated Boerne tourist attraction on TripAdvisor), we are seeking a Tour Guide to work at our ~100-acre park in Boerne, a northwestern suburb of San Antonio. Base Pay is $12 per hour (to start) but most tour guides make at least $15 per hour due to tips. Employee perks include periodic bonuses, free Saturday lunch, merchandise discounts, free employee t-shirts, free tours for family members, certain educational reimbursements, six month pay reviews, etc.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Tour Guide, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Providing cave tours;
  • Registering campers;
  • Routinely performing gift shop clerking and stocking duties;
  • Emptying common area trash containers and checking restrooms as needed;
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma or GED. Some college or college degree preferred.
  • Must have bank account, driver's license and personal transportation.
  • Must like to work, be self-organized and motivated.
  • Must be able to walk up-and-down long flights of stairs.
  • Prior exposure to the recreation/tourism/travel industry is a plus.
  • Prior public speaking a plus.
