Job Description
Part Time - Tour Guide The Blinn College District is searching for a Part Time - Tour Guide at our Brenham Campus. Primary Duties and Responsibilities are listed below: Job Summary Give campus tours to prospective students, parents, and visitors. To be able to communicate their enthusiasm about Blinn College. Principal Accountabilities Provide 1 1/2-hour walking tours of the campus to prospective students, parents, and visitors. Follow a written script of general information about the campus and college. Tours are outdoors and include inclement weather and during the busy/slow seasons. Multiple tours per day are possible. Provide general information, explanations, directions and guide services for the college/campus. Maintain consistent and an effective level of professionalism with prospective students, parents, and visitors. Have good time management skills. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications/ Required Degree, License or Certifications Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written communication with the ability to work with diverse groups of people and personalities. Ability to memorize and recite facts clearly and accurately. Minimum Competencies Ability to work well with a team environment. Must be enthusiastic and enjoy working with people and sharing your enthusiasm for Blinn College. Maintain a 19-hour work week Ability to give group presentations. Preferred Qualifications Current or past student of Blinn College. Preferred Competencies Special Notes To Applicants Moderate lifting and carrying 15 to 44 pounds. Walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, operating office equipment. Giving tours outdoors, including hot and/or inclement weather. Maximum 19 hours per week
