Committing to environmentally friendly practices that protect and preserve natural resources for future generations. We are seeking seasonal tour guides and a lead guide. This job posting is for both day tours and glow/night tours. Please specify which time frame(s) you are available for.
Rate:
$50-$200 per day + tips Bonuses and promotions available
Qualifications:
Available a minimum of 3 days/nights per week, may include weekends Must be available at least 1 weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month Have a reliable vehicle to tow 3,500 pounds to and from trailer location ( MUST be able to tow, unfortunately we are not able to hire anyone who cannot tow at this time) Experience towing trailers Able to lift 70 pounds (may be tested during interview) Able to carry the kayaks several yards by foot (may be tested during interview) Able to tow up to 400 pounds when kayaking as needed (may be tested during interview) Passion for being outdoors, the environment, and wildlife and willingness to learn Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times Leadership and take initiative Athletic, Hardworking, Adaptable Trustworthy, Honest, Patient First Aid/CPR Certified Preferred Bilingual (spanish) preferred and may be considered for additional compensation Bachelors Degree a plus Experience in serving/bartending a plus Experience towing trailers a plus Teachers and students welcome to apply
Responsibilities:
Give guided eco tours Safely transport trailer from storage area to launch location and back Secure and lock trailer at storage area Provide relevant information about the tour/area to guests Ensure safety for all guests and help assist in paddling technique Take pictures for guests and share with marketing team Clean and maintain equipment Provide high quality and professional customer service Pick up tours when other guides call out Charge equipment as needed Onboard, train, and shadow new guides Communicate recommendations to management
