Job Overview:
The Bistro Attendant is a multi-skilled team member responsible for delivering excellent food and beverage service to our guests. This role combines front-of-house customer service—including cash handling and guest interaction—with back-of-house duties such as food preparation, cooking, and kitchen support. Guest Service:
- Greet and interact with guests, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
- Present menus, answer questions, and make food or beverage recommendations.
- Take food and drink orders, process payments, and ensure prompt, accurate service.
- Check with guests to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any issues.
- Inform guests about daily specials and promotions.
Food & Beverage Handling:
- Serve food and beverages, including alcoholic drinks (with proper age verification).
- Prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks, chill wine bottles, and serve specialty dishes.
- Assist with food preparation, including salads, appetizers, desserts, and brewing coffee.
- Cook on a flat-top grill, deep fryer, gas stovetop, and oven as needed.
- Garnish and decorate dishes for an appealing presentation.
Restaurant Maintenance:
- Clean tables, counters, and dining areas after service.
- Roll silverware, set tables, and restock service stations.
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, taking out trash, and tidying up dining areas and bathrooms.
- Ensure the restaurant is well-prepared for the next shift or large parties.
Administrative Support:
- Prepare guest checks, process payments, and credit card transactions.
- Assist hosts with answering phones, taking reservations, and managing to-go orders.
- Provide guests with local area information and directions.
