In this role, you will serve as the welcoming face of our establishment, providing exceptional customer service while efficiently managing food and beverage orders. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and hospitality skills will ensure each guest feels valued and satisfied from the moment they arrive until their departure. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system. Ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience while increasing sales. Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards are maintained at all times. Clear tables, bus tables as needed, and assist with maintaining a clean and organized dining area in compliance with sanitation regulations. Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering functions; process payments and give correct change. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery; communicate effectively to meet guest expectations. Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety protocols, and current menu offerings to provide informed service. Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food running or bussing when necessary to ensure smooth operations. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with high volume and counter service experience. Proficiency with Toast POS system Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a welcoming atmosphere. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing. Experience in serving or host/hostess roles that demonstrate hospitality excellence. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and engaging with guests professionally.
