Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Food Runner/Server in Training, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Food Runner/Server in Training, you will assist with food delivery, guest service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This paid position is perfect for individuals eager to grow within the hospitality industry and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Safely handle and transport food and beverages from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist servers with food running duties, supporting timely delivery of orders to enhance guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently between guests. Support food safety and handling procedures by adhering to health regulations and proper manual handling practices. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to ensure smooth service flow. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including setup and cleanup of dining areas. Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required, ensuring accurate billing and payment handling. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on in-person customer service. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling, and basic food preparation techniques. Experience with banquet service or culinary settings is a plus. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with excellent teamwork skills. Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
