Experienced Server - Amara Restaurant Join our dedicated team at Amara, where we combine Mediterranean cuisine with exceptional service. We are looking for a passionate and experienced server who can create memorable dining experiences by delivering outstanding hospitality, personalized service, and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years of serving experience in a high end, fast paced environment, with a focus on excellent customer service.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and have a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of wine and food pairings is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Food handlers and TABC certifications.
• A positive attitude and ability to work and communicate well under pressure with Server Assistants, Chefs, and other staff.

Responsibilities:

• Give guests a warm and welcoming experience, while upholding fine dining standards and anticipating their needs before they ask.
• Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude
• Accurately record and transmit food orders to the kitchen, ensuring any special dietary restrictions or requests are clearly communicated.
• Engage with guests in a warm welcoming manner, fostering a positive dining experience.
• Have complete knowledge of both food and drink menu, with the ability to make suggestions.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and proactively address any issues to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
• Proactively recommend menu items, wine pairings, and specials to enhance the guests' dining experience and encourage upselling opportunities.
• Collect payments from tables.
• Prepare restaurant for dining by setting tables, brewing coffee/tea, rolling/folding napkins and silverware, setting up larger tables for bigger parties, communicating with kitchen on any daily features or items we are out of.
• Stay aware of guest's needs by inquiring or observing their dining process.
• Properly open a bottle and pour a bottle of wine tableside.
• Fill in for absent staff as needed.
• Assist with special events as needed.
• Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary.
