Server | Little Napoli & Vesuvio, Carmel-by-the-Sea, California Little Napoli and Vesuvio are two established Italian-American restaurants in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea, led by Chef Pepe and known for genuine hospitality, great food, wine, and memorable guest experiences. We are looking for experienced Servers who take pride in their craft. Our ideal candidate is professional, personable, dependable, knowledgeable, and enjoys connecting with guests. If you are passionate about Italian food and wine, enjoy learning, and believe great service is about creating an experience—not simply taking an order—we would like to meet you. What You'll Do Create a warm, attentive, and memorable guest experience. Confidently explain menu offerings and make thoughtful food, wine, and beverage recommendations. Maintain strong menu and product knowledge. Accurately enter orders and process payments using Toast POS. Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly and in accordance with California requirements. Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Work collaboratively with Servers, Bartenders, Hosts, Bussers, Kitchen staff, and leadership. Participate in ongoing training and product-knowledge development. What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of serving experience , preferably in a similar full-service restaurant. Strong hospitality and guest-service skills. Wine knowledge; Italian wines, regions, and varietals strongly preferred. Knowledge of spirits and classic cocktails. Toast or similar POS experience. Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Dependable, professional, positive, and team-oriented. California Food Handler Card and applicable alcohol-service certification. Compensation & Schedule $16.90 per hour plus tips. Tip earnings vary based on shifts, hours, guest volume, and business levels and are not guaranteed. The hourly base wage will comply with applicable California and local minimum-wage requirements, as amended. Applicants should have flexibility to work weekends and holidays . Restaurant team members may be scheduled at Little Napoli, Vesuvio, or both restaurants based on business needs.
