Whether greeting guests, serving delicious dishes, or delivering food with enthusiasm, your energy and attention to detail will help foster a positive environment that keeps guests coming back. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and explain daily specials with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast systems Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and food safety. Assist in bussing tables, resetting dining areas efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant. Support the kitchen by delivering food runners' orders swiftly and accurately to uphold quality standards. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities through friendly guest relations. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills and tips. Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food handling protocols and sanitation regulations in all areas of service. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest needs promptly, managing guest relations professionally, and ensuring a memorable experience. Qualifications Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable. Strong communication skills Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience in serving, bussing, or food running within a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred. Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks required. Hospitality or customer service experience that demonstrates guest relations skills is beneficial.
