Server at The Fairway Lounge | Fresno, CA About the Role The Fairway Lounge is seeking a personable, dependable, and hospitality-driven Server to join our front-of-house team. The Fairway Lounge combines simulation golf, food and drinks in a social hospitality environment. Our servers provide traditional dining service while also taking care of guests utilizing our golf bays, creating a unique service environment that requires attentiveness, organization, and the ability to manage multiple guest needs at once. In addition to food and beverage service, servers may assist guests with basic simulator functions and help create a comfortable experience for golfers of all skill levels. Golf experience or familiarity is preferred, but is not required at the time of hire. Training will be provided on the simulator systems and Fairway Lounge procedures. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, confident communicating with guests, and able to maintain attentive service in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Starting pay:

$17.00 per hour + gratuities Opportunities for advancement within the role, with hourly pay up to $19.00 per hour + gratuities Key Responsibilities Provide friendly, attentive, and professional food and beverage service to guests in both dining areas and simulation golf bays. Greet guests promptly, guide them through menu options, and create a welcoming experience throughout their visit. Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders through the POS system. Maintain strong knowledge of our food menu, beverage menu, daily specials, promotions, and available products. Make thoughtful recommendations and appropriately upsell food, beverages, additional simulator time, and other Fairway Lounge offerings. Monitor assigned tables and golf bays throughout service, anticipating guest needs and providing timely follow-up. Assist guests with basic GolfZON simulator functions and gameplay questions after completing required training. Communicate accurate information regarding bay service, timing, and venue procedures. Process payments, manage checks, and handle cash accurately. Follow responsible alcohol-service requirements and monitor guest consumption when serving alcoholic beverages. Communicate allergies, dietary restrictions, modifications, and special requests accurately to the kitchen and bar. Run food and beverages promptly and maintain proper table and bay presentation throughout the guest experience. Complete opening, running, and closing side work thoroughly and on time. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout assigned service areas. Communicate effectively with hosts, bartenders, support staff, kitchen staff, and management. Assist teammates and other areas of the operation when needed to maintain smooth overall service. Follow company standards regarding discounts, comps, employee meals, alcohol service, sanitation, and cash handling. Recognize guest concerns early and communicate with management when additional assistance is needed. Ideal Candidate Previous serving experience in a restaurant, bar, hospitality, or similar guest-service environment preferred. Strong hospitality and customer-service skills with a friendly and professional presence. Comfortable managing multiple tables and golf bays simultaneously. Able to stay organized and attentive while prioritizing competing guest needs. Strong food and beverage knowledge or willingness to learn our menus thoroughly. Golf experience or familiarity with the game is preferred, but not required upon hire. Comfortable learning basic simulator operations and assisting guests with technology when needed. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the entire front-of-house and kitchen team. Able to remain calm, accurate, and professional during high-volume periods. Strong attention to cleanliness, presentation, and detail. Reliable, punctual, and accountable. Team-oriented and willing to assist outside of an assigned section when needed. Comfortable receiving feedback and following established service procedures and standards. Able to recognize signs of intoxication and practice responsible alcohol service. Current California RBS and Food Handler certifications preferred. Required certifications must be obtained within the appropriate timeframe if hired. Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages. What Success Looks Like Friendly, attentive, and consistent service from greeting through departure.
