Server Food Expeditor

Job Summary We are seeking candidates to fill the role of server/food expeditor for our tapas style Japanese cuisine restaurant in Gardena, Ca. In this role you will provide the high quality service our guests have come to expect by greeting each guest as they arrive, seating and taking their orders. Fluency in Japanese is highly preferred for this role as the majority of our guests and clients primarily speak Japanese. Job Responsibilities Greet each guest upon arrival. Take food and drink orders. Thank each guest as they leave. Tend to guest requests or calls for assistance. Each meal consists of multiple small dishes. You would plate each meal as they come from the kitchen in the way outlined during your training. Accuracy and consistency is a must to ensure a great guest experience. Take phone and delivery orders, coordinate reservations, organize waitlists during peak business hours. Handle cash and card transactions. Maintain a balanced register. Clean tables and replenish napkins and utensils. Communicate any needs to the kitchen to expedite food by priority. Job Requirements Food Handler Card Open availability, weekends and holidays are required. 1 year previous Japanese restaurant serving experience or the ability to demonstrate the equivalent knowledge during the interview.
