Job Description
Overview Restaurant Cashier/Server - Hospitality & Sales Fuego Cravings in Rancho Cucamonga is building a high-performing guest-experience team. This is not simply a cashier position. We are looking for experienced restaurant professionals who understand premium hospitality, connect naturally with guests and can confidently recommend menu items while creating an experience that brings customers back. Position Details Part-time position $19 per hour plus tips Pay based on directly relevant restaurant experience, demonstrated hospitality skills and qualifications Whittier location Opportunities for training, leadership development and advancement based on performance What You'll Do Welcome every guest with urgency, warmth and professionalism Provide accurate menu guidance and confidently recommend food, beverages, upgrades and add-ons Process dine-in, takeout, delivery and online orders accurately Help increase average ticket through genuine, guest-focused suggestive selling Maintain a clean, organized and inviting front counter and dining room Communicate clearly with the kitchen and support smooth order execution Resolve guest concerns professionally and involve a manager when appropriate Follow all cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation and company procedures Complete assigned opening and closing responsibilities Cross-train and support the kitchen team when business needs require it The Standard We Expect Proven experience delivering high-standard hospitality in a fast-paced restaurant Confident sales communication with a polished, guest-first presence Strong menu knowledge and the ability to make thoughtful recommendations Dependable attendance, punctuality and personal accountability Leadership experience or strong leadership potential preferred Ability to remain composed, professional and productive during busy periods Availability for weekday and weekend opening and closing shifts Willingness to cross-train and support both front- and back-of-house operations What Success Looks Like Guests feel welcomed, appreciated and confident returning Orders are entered accurately and delivered efficiently Menu recommendations feel natural and improve the guest experience Work areas remain clean, stocked and ready throughout the shift Team members communicate respectfully and help one another Attendance, punctuality and performance remain consistently dependable Qualifications At least one year of restaurant, hospitality or comparable guest-service experience preferred Restaurant sales, suggestive-selling or leadership experience is highly valued Comfortable learning new stations and supporting the kitchen Able to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation Food Handler Card required within the applicable onboarding period This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in hospitality, enjoys building relationships with guests and wants the opportunity to grow into a trainer or leadership role.
