Hiring Server (Part time) AKAFUJI La Habra, CA Job Details Part-time $16.90 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Kitchen health and safety standards Food service health code compliance Fine dining experience Safety regulations Japanese cuisine Food safety sanitizing procedures Retail math Safety standard operating procedures Full Job Description Our restaurant is Omakase restaurnat (sushi). -Must have serving experience at Japanese restaurant (6month+) Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards for fine dining or casual settings Manage tables efficiently, including bussing, resetting, and assisting with food handling and sanitation practices Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating flow Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently maintained in accordance with health regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations Support guest relations by providing exceptional customer service, resolving issues professionally, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere keep clean dining area and restock before empty. Requirements Previous Japanese restaurant experience. Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in the food industry Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order calculations Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours
