Job Summary Location:
Lincoln, CA Omakase Por Favor is looking for a hospitality-driven Server to join our Lincoln team. We are a small, chef-driven restaurant focused on seasonality, local ingredients, and a constantly evolving menu that combines coastal Mexican flavors with Japanese influence. Our beverage program is equally important, with a strong focus on wine, sake, and cocktails . We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys serving people, making connections with guests, and continuing to learn. Strong wine and sake knowledge is a plus, but curiosity, eagerness to learn, and the ability to communicate confidently are just as important. Responsibilities Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service Build genuine connections with guests and help create memorable dining experiences Learn and confidently speak about our frequently changing food and beverage menus Guide guests through wine, sake, cocktails, and food pairings Make your own cocktails and maintain consistency with house recipes and standards Develop a strong understanding of seasonal ingredients, local products, preparation techniques, and allergens Take accurate orders and maintain thoughtful pacing and coursing Communicate clearly with the kitchen and the rest of the service team Run food, clear, reset, polish, and assist wherever needed during service Participate in tastings, pre-shift education, and ongoing training Maintain a clean, organized, and professional dining room and service area Complete opening and closing responsibilities What We're Looking For Previous full-service restaurant experience preferred Strong communication skills A genuine desire to help, serve, and take care of people Ability to connect naturally with guests Wine and sake knowledge, or a strong desire to develop it Interest in cocktails and comfort preparing drinks Curiosity about food, ingredients, and seasonality Eagerness to learn in an environment where the menu is constantly changing Dependability and commitment to a consistent schedule Ability to receive feedback and continue improving Strong teamwork and attention to detail Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to stay organized and composed during busy services Our Service Philosophy We are a small restaurant with a close-knit team, and hospitality is at the center of what we do. Our servers are not simply order takers. They are guides, hosts, bartenders, educators, and an important connection between our kitchen and our guests. Because our menu changes frequently, learning never really stops. We expect our team to stay curious, ask questions, taste new things, and continue developing their knowledge of food, wine, sake, cocktails, and hospitality. We value people who notice what needs to be done, communicate well, help their teammates, and genuinely enjoy taking care of others. Schedule Part-time or full-time availability may be considered depending on experience and scheduling needs. Evening and weekend availability is important. Compensation Hourly wage plus tips .
