Downtown Long Beach Altar Society Brewing & Coffee is looking for an experienced, energetic Server to join our team. We are a brewery, restaurant, bar, and coffee shop in Downtown Long Beach. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, takes pride in their work, and understands that great service is about more than taking an order.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Strong customer service skills and a naturally welcoming personality Experience working in a busy, high-volume restaurant or bar Comfortable talking with guests about craft beer, cocktails, wine, and food Beer knowledge is strongly preferred Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification is strongly encouraged Ability and willingness to learn our entire food and beverage menu Clean, organized, and detail-oriented Strong sense of urgency Comfortable bussing, running food, cleaning, resetting tables, and helping wherever needed Professional, mature, dependable, and accountable Able to stay positive and composed during busy services Team-first attitude — no "that's not my job" mentality

THE ROLE

Our servers are an important part of the guest experience. You will be expected to stay active on the floor, connect with guests, maintain a clean dining room, run food and beverages, clear and reset tables, and help guests navigate our ordering system. We want people who see what needs to be done and do it. You should be comfortable discussing our beer program and be willing to continually improve your knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, and food.

AVAILABILITY

We are looking for candidates with strong availability , including: Nights Weekends Holidays Open availability is strongly preferred.

You'll be successful at Altar Society if you care about the details, enjoy talking to people, stay busy without constantly being directed, and want to learn more about food and beverage.
