Restaurant General Manager Summary of Position :
A busser is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area by clearing tables, resetting them for new guests, and assisting servers with refills and food delivery. They help ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for customers by keeping the restaurant clean and organized.
Responsibilities:
Prepare tables for service, including setting up linens, silverware, and glassware. Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils in a timely manner. Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and dining areas between guests. Assist servers by delivering food and beverages to tables when needed. Refill water glasses and other beverages as requested by guests. Ensure service stations are stocked with necessary supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and utensils. Assist with resetting tables quickly to maintain a smooth flow of service. Respond to guest requests or direct them to the appropriate team member. Help maintain cleanliness in the dining room, including floors and entryways. Assist with basic side work such as folding napkins, polishing silverware, or stocking supplies. Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures. Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service. Support with special events, banquets, and large parties as needed.
Requirements:
Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and order. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays. Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing or walking. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
