Job Description
Overview We are looking for a part time server (2-4 days) for our freshly opened Milpitas location. Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring satisfaction Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety regulations, proper food handling, and sanitation protocols Assist with food preparation or bussing tables during busy periods to support kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations Support guest services by accommodating special requests and providing personalized hospitality Experience Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle diverse guest needs Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management Previous host/hostess or serving experience is a plus, demonstrating strong guest relations skills Knowledge of food industry terminology, culinary processes, and restaurant operations enhances performance in this role
