Job Description
Position:
Catering Server Reports to: Event Lead and/orFloor Lead Position Type:
Part-time/Seasonal Job Description:
We are looking for part-time/seasonal catering servers to help get us through the second half of wedding season and our end of the year holiday events. A Command Performance (CP) server is a member of our team who provides friendly and prompt service to help create a positive and memorable experience for guests at a wide variety of events. They work under the Event Lead and Floor Lead in helping to achieve one goal- to exceed the client's expectations after months of planning with them.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the load-in, set-up, service, breakdown and load-out of the event.
- Collaborate in the set-up for the event by placing table settings and building buffets and stations according to the client's vision.
- Carry out tables, chairs, bars, catering equipment for set-up.
- Assure tables are properly set with the correct number of settings that are clean, polished and presentable for professional photos and videos.
- Appropriately and promptly accommodate guests', the client's, and manager's concerns, needs, and expectations.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner using proper rules of etiquette.
- Setup, replenish, and remove food stations as necessary.
- Regularly buss tables or guest-filled areas of the event to keep cleanliness.
- Tray pass food and drinks to guests while being knowledgeable in what is being offered to them.
- Follow assigned tasks from the Floor Lead, Event Lead, and client efficiently and with a positive attitude.
- Maintain presence, attentiveness, promptness and professionalism during the whole duration of the shift.
- Assist with food preparation, including building appetizers, plating, and garnishing dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of serving areas.

- Must be punctual, reliable, well-organized, and ready to jump in to help when needed at any given moment.
Requirements:
- A valid California Food Handler (CFH) card.
- Must have reliable transportation to job sites that are located in Ventura County and Los Angeles County areas.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds unassisted.
- Must be comfortable with being on your feet for long periods of time, carrying and lifting trays of food and bussed items, rolling tables and chairs for setup and breakdown, maneuvering catering equipment around the event space (in areas including but not limited to) whether it is up and down uneven ground, slopes, stairs, etc.
- Must be available to work long (8-12 hour) shifts on weekends (Friday
- Sunday) and in the evenings.
- Flexibility to perform different but related tasks at any given time assigned and requested by Event Lead and/or Floor Lead based on the needs.
- Must be comfortable working in the different elements as many events take place outdoors.
