In this energetic role, you will deliver outstanding guest service, ensure food and beverage orders are accurately taken and efficiently served, and create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Your enthusiasm, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality will shine through as you engage with guests, promote menu offerings, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Whether working in a lively restaurant or an upscale fine dining setting, your role is vital in making every guest's visit memorable and enjoyable. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, including managing reservations via OpenTable or similar systems. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are noted. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining a clean and organized service station. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through friendly suggestions. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments efficiently. Maintain food safety standards by following sanitation protocols during food handling, serving, and cleaning duties. Support kitchen staff by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and assisting with basic food preparation when necessary. Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions about menu items, accommodating special requests, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables while maintaining quality service. Assist with host/hostess duties when needed to ensure smooth flow of seating and guest relations. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales. Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy; previous cashiering experience is beneficial. Culinary or kitchen experience can be an asset for better understanding of food preparation processes. Effective communication skills to interact positively with guests, team members, and management.
