Food Runners Interact with guests, fellow employees, and supervisors in a polite, courteous manner to ensure excellent service is the result of every interaction. Food runners deliver all food menu items and accurately describes them to the guests. Food runners are a liaison between the FoH staff and chefs. Duties and Responsibilities Possesses indepth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company. Delivers all food items to the guests, in a timely manner. Provides an accurate description of dishes delivered. Communicates the needs of guests to FoH staff and/or chefs. Participates in table maintenance and bussing of excess tableware. Maintains the general cleanliness of stations and entire venue. Maintains food runner side station and completes all assigned side work. Our Ideal Candidate 2+ years previous fine dining experience Previous experience working in a large fast paced restaurant setting Demonstrates effective oral & written communication, interpersonal and conflictresolution skills. Possesses excellent organizational skills, problemsolving skills and time management ability. Certifications Required Certification relating to Alcohol Awareness (RBS certification) Food Handling Safety certification Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs. Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion. Role may include exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials. Must be able to work and remain focused in a fastpaced and everchanging environment.
