POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Food Runner / Server to join our team. In this dual-capacity role, you will act as the crucial bridge between our sushi chefs, kitchen staff, and guests. You will ensure that crafted sushi, sashimi, and hot kitchen dishes are delivered promptly, accurately, and with exceptional hospitality. ##

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

### Food Running & Expo Execution

• Prompt Delivery:

• Transport high-end sushi platters and hot kitchen items quickly from the expo station to guest tables.

• Order Accuracy:

• Match order tickets perfectly with physical dishes, strictly following table and seat numbers. ### Guest Service & Tableside Support

• Menu Knowledge:

• Clearly explain menu items, including sushi fish varieties, rolls, ingredients, and potential allergens to guests.

• Table Maintenance:

• Support servers by refilling drinks, clearing empty plates or soy dishes, and resetting tables efficiently.

• POS Operation:

• Accurately input orders and process payments, gift cards, and tips using the restaurant's POS system.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience:

• Previous food service experience in a fast-paced or Japanese restaurant setting is highly preferred.

• Menu Familiarity:

• Basic knowledge of Japanese culinary terms, sake, and sushi varieties is a plus.

• Physical Stamina:

• Ability to stand for extended periods, navigate busy dining rooms, and carry food trays up to 30 lbs.

• Certifications:

• Valid Food Handler's Certification required by local law.

• Team Mindset:

• Strong, courteous communication skills to coordinate with both front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
