Applicants should have previous experience serving in a sushi restaurant and be familiar with sushi menu items, guest service, table management, and working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Please apply only if you meet the following requirements: You have previous sushi restaurant serving experience You are dependable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team You are available for the shifts listed in this posting You are willing to follow Oishii Sushi's service standards, policies, and training system You agree to complete our paid introductory training and evaluation process Paid Training and Introductory Evaluation Process Selected candidates begin with approximately one week of paid initial training. During this time, we evaluate service skills, menu knowledge, communication, teamwork, reliability, attitude, and ability to follow restaurant procedures. Candidates who successfully complete the initial training may continue into a paid introductory evaluation period lasting up to 60 days. During this period, the employee will continue receiving training, coaching, and performance feedback. Successful completion of either training period does not guarantee continued employment. Continued employment and regular team placement depend on performance, reliability, teamwork, compliance with restaurant policies, availability, and Oishii Sushi's business needs. All required training and working hours are paid. Required 1+ year restaurant serving experience Previous sushi restaurant serving experience Experience using a restaurant POS system Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Weekend availability Reliable transportation Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to carry trays and lift up to 25 lbs Preferred AYCE restaurant experience Japanese restaurant experience Beer, sake, and wine service experience Toast POS experience (if applicable) Job Summary looking for experienced sushi server only. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and personalized service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring clarity and efficiency Serve sushi, drinks, and other menu items promptly while maintaining presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and supporting kitchen staff when needed Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns professionally, ensuring a positive dining atmosphere Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially fine dining or sushi establishments Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while managing time effectively Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and order accuracy Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is advantageous for understanding menu items and preparation processes Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for hospitality meets the art of Japanese cuisine.
