Job Description
Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch is seeking a motivated and dependable Backwait to join our dynamic restaurant team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to work in a high-quality, farm-to-table dining environment under the direction of Executive Chef Stephen Barber. Our restaurant offers an exceptional blend of fine dining, wine bar, cafe and private events—all driven by a commitment to sustainability and local sourcing. Integrity, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are essential to succeed in this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain and stock service areas with coffee, food, tableware, linens, and other supplies Assist behind the bar with restocking and cleaning glassware and equipment Prepare and serve coffee and tea beverages for guests Support kitchen staff with expediting needs and communication Buff and polish silverware and glassware as needed Assist servers in providing attentive and efficient table service Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly and professionally Perform additional tasks and duties as directed by management Education, Experience and Required Skills Minimum 1 year of experience in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant preferred Familiarity with upscale service standards is a plus Willingness to learn and grow in the hospitality industry Food Handler's certification and RBS certification required Must lead and work consistently with LMR's core values: Balance, Respect and Stewardship Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Positive Attitude and a team-oriented mindset Must be well-groomed Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Must be at least 18 years of age Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with unexpected situations Must be able to lift, balance, and carry plates of food Must be able to lift cases of wine on a daily basis Must be able to use both hands to handle, grasp, move and control objects, tools and equipment operations Must be able to bend or twist body Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds Must be able to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Compensation and Benefits Part-time hourly position
