Job Description

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Banquet Captain to join a premier hospitality team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading teams, creating exceptional guest experiences, and growing with a long-term organization. The ideal candidate has experience in banquets, catering, private events, hotels, clubs, or upscale restaurants and can confidently lead event operations from setup through execution.

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule:
Event-based schedule (Tuesday-Sunday, year-round opportunities) Approximately 20-30 hours per week, based on event needs with the potential to transition into a more consistent full-time schedule as event volume increases Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required Responsibilities Lead and manage banquet staff during events Coordinate floor operations and ensure smooth event execution Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management Delegate tasks and ensure smooth event operations Maintain high standards of service, professionalism, and presentation Train and support serving staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences Identify and resolve service issues professionally Oversee room setup, breakdown, and all aspects of banquet service execution Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Banquet Captain, Lead Server, Event Captain, or Hospitality Supervisor. Previous experience leading banquet or event teams in private clubs, hotels, catering companies, fine dining restaurants, or event venues. Demonstrated ability to supervise, delegate tasks, and lead front-of-house teams during high-volume events. Strong communication, leadership, and guest service skills. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Reliable and dependable. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
