Ensure guests the best possible experience by maintaining a smooth and efficient flow of service. You're responsible for running food and drinks promptly, clearing and resetting tables, and keeping the dining area clean and organized. You wash, polish, and restock glassware, all while helping to maintain the pace of service and taking pride in the care of our space.

Proper food running:

including carrying three plates at a time & using the drop line while delivering food & drinks to the correct table & seat.

Proper table maintenance:

including serving, clearing, marking, filling water & resetting tables. Develop knowledge and deep understanding of our food menu: including advanced knowledge of ingredients, preparation, coursing and characteristics. Maintain a strong interest in natural wine and food. Work in support of the back-of-house to make sure all dishes are served according to XUNTOS's standards. Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation in accordance with the restaurant's accounting policies and procedures. Promptly inform the Manager of all service issues and guest complaints. Fill in where needed to ensure guest experience is never compromised. Perform Opening and Closing duties according to checklists, including cleaning restrooms and taking out the trash. Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests. Attend mandatory ongoing training sessions. Multitask in high volume and high-stress environments. Take a self-directed approach to personal learning and development: embrace giving and receiving feedback. Adhere to XUNTOS's uniform policy at all times. Other duties may be assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work schedule may vary between early morning to late evening, weekends and holidays Must have manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours), moving intermittently. This is a role that requires physical stamina: carrying wine and beer up and down stairs, moving tables and chairs, and maintaining an energized presence on the floor during multiple hours of service, while moving through multiple service, storage and outdoor areas
