In this role, you will support the kitchen team by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth meal service. Your proactive attitude and attention to safety will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced food industry setting. Duties Assist with food preparation tasks including slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety standards Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and knives safely and efficiently to support meal production Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations Support the kitchen staff by organizing ingredients, restocking supplies, and ensuring a tidy work environment Serve meals to guests promptly and courteously, ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure menu items are prepared accurately and efficiently Follow all safety standards during food handling, cooking, and cleaning processes to prevent accidents or contamination Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling techniques Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation is advantageous Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and demonstrate knife skills including slicing techniques Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and servers Familiarity with food industry standards related to safety, sanitation, and cleanliness Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform physical tasks involved in food prep and cleaning Prior restaurant or catering experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for culinary work is valued Embark on a rewarding journey in the culinary world where your contributions directly impact guest satisfaction.
