Role Description The Service Staff are members of the Front of House team in a restaurant. They provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for guests. Servers are responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and attending to customer needs throughout their meal. The Service Staff should be friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu to assist customers with their choices and accommodate their preferences. Skills/Experience Minimum 1 year of successful server experience. Worked with a Point of Sale like Toast, Micros, Aloha, or comparable system. TIPS certification or renewal within first 30 days of employment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Basic math skills for processing guest payments accurately. Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively. Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled. Knowledge of food and beverage operations and familiarity with menu items. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle time-sensitive tasks. Must adhere to grooming and appearance standards. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner. Present menus and make recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions. Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen and bar. Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and accurately. Monitor tables and ensure guests have everything they need throughout their dining experience. Check on guests regularly to address any concerns or additional requests. Clear tables and reset them for the next guests in a timely manner. Process guest payments and handle cash transactions accurately. Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations. Provide exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to exceed guest expectations. Stay knowledgeable about SportyPickle's menu, specials, and promotions. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including assisting with cleaning tasks as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe dining environment for guests and staff. Collaborate with other team members to create a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for guests. Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Physical Capabilities Standing, walking at an energetic pace, moving through crowds, and remaining on feet for 8 hours. Able to get into and out of a seat with no assistance. Fine motor skills. Lifting 25 pounds multiple times a shift. Lifting 100 pounds occasionally. Stooping, lifting, bending, reaching, pulling, and pushing multiple times a shift. Working and can maneuver in tight spaces. Hear, read, and speak English fluently. Withstand loud noise, bright/flashing lights, hot temperatures near equipment, and the like of a sports bar and sports facility.
