Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant 50's style restaurant team. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, menu knowledge, and a positive attitude. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create memorable dining moments for our guests while ensuring smooth restaurant operations. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, assist with seating arrangements, and manage reservations using systems like OpenTable. Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure swift processing. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and food safety. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and adhering to sanitation protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations. Assist with food handling, food preparation support when needed, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Support other team members during busy periods in roles such as host/hostess or food runner to ensure seamless service flow. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and order processing tasks. Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; a passion for the food industry is essential. Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed in a dynamic hospitality setting.
