This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within hospitality at a lively restaurant environment while providing memorable moments for every guest. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and drink options. Take accurate orders using our MenuSifu POS systems and ensuring timely communication with the kitchen and sushi bar staff. Upsell drinks such as wine, cocktail, and sakes to guests with confidence and enthusiam. Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards throughout service. Process sales transactions accurately, handle cash or credit card payments, and manage OpenTable reservations when applicable. Assist with food preparation tasks like hosting tables, bussing tables, refilling water glasses, and cleaning and setting up tables for the next guests. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, adhere to sanitation protocols, and ensure guest relations are positive from arrival to departure. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations. Knowledge of POS systems order entry and transaction processing. Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell and recommend menu items confidently. Familiarity with wine knowledge, spirits experience, cocktail preparation, and fine dining standards. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining quality service. Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and sales transaction processing.
