Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and attentive Front of House (FOH) Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, beverage and food knowledge, and a positive attitude. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create memorable moments for our guests, ensuring they feel valued and satisfied from the moment they arrive until their departure. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your hospitality skills in a dynamic environment. Duties Greet guests warmly, promptly seating them and presenting menus with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff. Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktail service, wine pairing, and spirits knowledge to enhance guest experience. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments, while maintaining accountability for cash register operations. Upsell menu items, beverages, and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Foster positive guest relations through attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Requirements Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous. Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining attention to detail in sales transaction processing. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and a genuine desire to enhance guest experiences. Basic math skills for bill calculations, tips, and inventory management; food safety and sanitation training preferred. Knowledge of food handling procedures and restaurant operations; culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required.
