Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Food Runner supports the dining room and service teams by delivering food quickly and accurately from the kitchen to guests. This role plays a critical part in ensuring service timing, food presentation standards, and overall member/guest satisfaction
Responsibilities:
Deliver food from the kitchen to dining rooms, patios, and banquet spaces promptly and accurately Ensure proper food presentation and plate integrity before leaving the kitchen Communicate with servers regarding table numbers, seat positions, and dietary restrictions Assist with course pacing during plated and multi-course events Announce dishes appropriately and professionally when required Support high-volume banquet service including plated dinners, buffets, and action stations Assist in synchronizing course delivery during large events Help maintain cleanliness and replenish items as needed Assist with clearing tables when needed Refill water and assist with guest needs when appropriate Maintain cleanliness of service stations and expo areas Restock supplies, condiments, and service ware Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and managers Maintain urgency while preserving professionalism and hospitality standards Follow directions from Dining Room Manager or Front of House Manager Performing any other tasks assigned by leadership
Experience:
Preferred:
Experience working in restaurants, banquets, hospitality or related fields
Schedule:
Days and start times TBD based on business needs Flexibility to work hours needed based on event schedules
Compensation:
$18.00 per hour
Environment:
Varying temperature controlled environments
Skills:
Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 35 - 45lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product - such as food trays, glass racks, silverware containers etc.; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; Strong communication
Skills:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
Organizational Skills:
Ability to fulfill executive directions in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player
