Banquet Server Blackhawk Country Club Stratford, CT Job Details Temporary | Part-time | Seasonal From $17 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication Moving Manual handling Catering event room organization Full Job Description Job Type Part-time Description Blackhawk Country Club is seeking Banquet Servers, events range from golf outings to weddings, birthday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, reunions, rehearsal dinners & showers. Banquet servers are responsible for setting up the event, serving food, and clean up during and after the event. Banquet staff must be able to multitask, work quickly and anticipate the guest's needs while providing exceptional customer service in a courteous and professional manner. Banquet Server Responsibilities Greet all guests in a professional and friendly manner Review Banquet Event Order at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper setup for all food and beverage Participate in the continuous cleaning and up-keep of all Food and Beverage areas throughout entire event Perform all assigned side work duties. (Polishing, rolling silverware, organization, counting glassware, etc.) Keep all stock and event supplies replenished and ready for use as needed Use the proper garnishes, china, glassware, and flatware for all food and beverages Responsible for cleanliness, sanitation and proper set-up of banquet service and storage areas Ensure that Event Director/Event Coordinator is informed of guest complaints or issues that may arise so they can be resolved in a timely manner. Set-up and break-down banquet tables & chairs and other event equipment as requested per Banquet event order or as instructed by Event Director and/or Event Coordinators Requirements Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers Good oral and written communication skills Ability to maintain a pleasant, positive and helpful demeanor Neat, clean, and professional appearance
