In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service during events and banquets, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees. The ideal candidate has a background in food service, catering, or hospitality, with a strong focus on guest relations and food safety. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where teamwork and attention to detail are essential. Responsibilities Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to members and guests throughout each event. Set up banquet rooms and service areas according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and other necessary equipment. Serve food and beverages efficiently and courteously while following established service standards. Buss tables promptly and maintain clean, organized, and presentable dining and service areas throughout the event. Replenish food, beverages, and service supplies as needed. Engage with guests in a professional and welcoming manner and respond promptly to their needs. Work closely with the kitchen, bartenders, banquet captain, event team, and management to ensure smooth and efficient service. Assist with event breakdown and cleanup, including clearing tables, removing linens, cleaning service areas, and returning the room to its proper condition. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing Wampanoag Country Club. Perform other duties as assigned by the banquet captain or management team. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, catering, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality preferred; banquet experience is a plus. Strong customer service and hospitality skills. Friendly, professional, and outgoing personality. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to remain organized and professional in a fast-paced environment. Reliable and dependable with strong attention to detail. Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices preferred. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry trays, dishes, and other service items. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on event needs. Must be comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction from banquet leadership. Prior experience with bussing, serving, food preparation, or restaurant operations is beneficial but not required.
