Job Description

The Veranda Restaurant and Bar is now accepting resumes for the role of server . We are currently accepting resumes for the following restaurant positions: Day Shift Server (Breakfast / Lunch) Evening Shift Server (Lunch / Dinner)
Important Note:
During the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day), our servers will work indoors and outdoors (outdoor pool deck)
  • Preference to be given to those that have open availability, which includes being available on weekends and holidays
  • We are seeking individuals that will embrace our top-notch people-first hotel culture while providing exceptional service for our future guests during their time with us. We want these individuals to take ownership and care deeply for the product that we are offering to all guests. Excellence in all areas is our mission

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Guest Service Mixology
  • Understanding of how to craft drinks
  • bringing uniqueness to menu Attention to the fine details [every small thing is big to someone] Communication Time Management Resourcefulness / Knowledge of the area and offerings Technology & Systems [TOAST] The bartender/server will be responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests in order to achieve an exceptional dining experience at The Veranda .
It is important to ensure a positively memorable experience is had by guests through exceptional quality and service.
Responsibilities:
  • Must be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests and other employees
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
  • Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
  • understanding what pairs well with the meal they have ordered
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption
  • Adhere to all food safety and beverage handling procedures
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
  • Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns or complaints promptly
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient bar operations
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a bartender or in the food service industry preferred
  • Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling and making change
  • Familiarity with brewing techniques and various drink recipes
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service to customers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Ability to handle food safely and follow food safety regulations
