About the Role Hall's on 5th is looking for friendly, dependable, and hardworking Bussers / Food Runners to help keep our food hall clean, organized, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in the guest experience. Our Bussers / Food Runners support our vendors, Hall's team members, and guests by delivering food, clearing and resetting tables, maintaining the cleanliness of our shared spaces, and jumping in wherever support is needed. We are looking for people who notice what needs to be done and take initiative without always having to be asked. What You'll Do Run completed food orders from The Hidden Kitchen to guests throughout the food hall. Clearly announce guest names or order information when delivering or locating guests. Bus tables promptly by removing used dishes, trays, cups, trash, and other items. Wipe, sanitize, and reset tables so they are ready for the next guest. Keep the dining room, common areas, condiment areas, entryways, and other guest-facing spaces clean and organized. Assist Hall's staff with spills, accidents, messes, and other cleanups that occur throughout the food hall during operating hours. Regularly check and clean guest restrooms throughout the shift, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, counters, floors, and other surfaces as needed. Monitor restroom supplies and restock toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other supplies before they run out. Immediately notify management of restroom maintenance issues, plumbing problems, damage, or anything requiring additional attention. Empty trash and replace liners throughout the food hall and restrooms as needed. Properly scrape, organize, and return dirty dishes and service items to designated areas. Maintain clean floors by sweeping, spot-cleaning, and promptly addressing spills or other safety concerns. Help guests locate vendors, kiosks, restrooms, seating, or Hall's team members when needed. Communicate with vendors and team members when orders need attention or guests need assistance. Support opening, closing, and general cleaning responsibilities. Assist with maintaining cleaning supplies and notifying management when supplies are running low. Help during events, farmers markets, brunch, and other high-volume periods. Follow all Hall's on 5th food safety, sanitation, handwashing, and operational policies. Jump in and assist with other reasonable cleaning, guest service, and operational tasks when the team needs support. A team player who is willing to help Hall's employees and vendors. Able to communicate respectfully with guests, coworkers, vendors, and management. Comfortable being on your feet for most of your shift. Able to safely lift and carry trays, bus tubs, trash bags, cleaning supplies, and other restaurant-related items. Available to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. You don't walk past a dirty table because "that's not my table." You don't ignore an overflowing trash can, a restroom that needs attention, food waiting to be delivered, or a guest who looks confused because you think it's someone else's responsibility. Work Environment Hall's on 5th is a multi-vendor food hall, which means no two shifts are exactly the same. Some periods may be steady while others can become extremely busy very quickly, particularly during weekends, markets, events, brunch, and seasonal activities. This is an active, hands-on role that includes food running, bussing, guest assistance, restroom cleaning, trash removal, general cleaning, and supporting the Hall's team wherever needed. We're looking for people who can stay positive, organized, and helpful even when things get busy.
