Job Description

Responsibilities:
The Dining Room Server performs a variety of functions in the dining room to ensure that that residents have a pleasant dining experience. Takes resident(s) meal orders and serves meals correctly and efficiently. Delivers trays to rooms of ill residents. Sets tables with napkins and tableware. Refills condiments and salt and pepper shakers. Sets up and keeps salad and dessert counter supplied. Cleans dining room tables and chairs and vacuums dining room. Follows all emergency procedures. Understands all safety practices and procedures. Reports on-the-job injuries to the Community Cook and/or Dining Services Director before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs. Communicates effectively with Dining Services Director and other team members. Advises Dining Services Director of any changes in physical or mental health of a Resident immediately. Maintains an acceptable attendance record, notifies Dining Services Director if he/she expects to be late or unable to work in accordance with personnel policies, and follows work schedule. May perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Similar experience preferable. The ability to work in a team environment and work flexible shifts. Strong communication and listening skills. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Physically able to bend and reach. Physically able to push and pull and lift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary.
