BUSSER/RUNNER
Reports to:
F&B Director and Assistant F&B Manager Summary of Position:
Members of the F&B Service Team are responsible for assuring exceptional, first class service for our members and guests. The busser is responsible for the cleaning of dining room tables before, during and after meal service. Also, banquet setup and breakdown for events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
High level of integrity and a strong work ethic Ability to maintain high work standards and an attention to details Strong sense of urgency and excellent communication skills Strong communication and listening skills to discover what members want Must be service focused with a sincere desire to engage members and guests Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments Anticipate the need for assistance before falling behind and asking for help before service suffers Ability to respond to feedback from members, guests, team members, or supervisory personnel Performs assigned side work (opening, closing, implementation) with a sense of pride & urgency Takes pride in completing all assigned duties Serves water and bread as guests are seated. Assists in carrying food trays to tables. Removes soiled dishes from table; brings to dish washing area. Removes soiled linen and replaces with clean linen. Sets tables with silverware, glassware and other items. Cleans dining room areas. Stocks servers' station with supplies. Collects trash from dining room, grill and other specified places after each serving period. Dusts chairs before and after meals. Keeps ice bins and buckets filled. Performs the sequence of service & all standard operating procedures as provided by management Advises manager of any suggestive feedback as soon as possible throughout every shift Is attentive and inquisitive at pre-meal meetings, taking notes and clarifying any menu items
Qualifications:
Previous country club and/or fine dining experience preferred Understands dining room service procedures Follows all safety and sanitation policies Has a great smile and a positive solution minded approach Enjoys a team environment Dedicated to improving every day English language and professional communications skills are required Ability to take direction Must have problem-solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
