According to shift assignments Job purpose The Pool Monitor / Server is responsible for helping maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable pool environment for members and guests while providing friendly and attentive food and beverage service. This role monitors pool access and compliance with club rules, assists members and guests with their needs, and helps ensure the pool area consistently meets the Clubs cleanliness, safety, and service standards. Duties and responsibilities . Greet and welcome guests to the pool area while consistently providing friendly and professional service. Monitor pool access by verifying pool passes, guest lists or other authorized access requirements. Enforce pool rules and guidelines, including restrictions such as no running, no glass containers, to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Conduct a walkthrough of the pool deck every 30 minutes to ensure the area remains clean, organized, free of debris and unattended items. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the pool area. Assist guests with pool chairs, umbrellas, and general inquiries. Provide attentive food and beverage service by taking orders, delivering items promptly, and ensuring a high level of service at all times. Accurately charge punches to member accounts and properly close out checks. Promptly report maintenance concerns, including broken furniture, water quality concerns, or equipment issues to management. Assist with closing and securing the pool area at the end of the day. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Working conditions Work is primarily outdoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitors and develops subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas, write and read member communication. Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 40 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently and up to 20 lbs. constantly. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other sports equipment that may weigh 30 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes. Please be advised that all work that requires the use of a ladder more than 8 ft. long must be reviewed by Hampton Golfs Club Maintenance person. Following an assessment of the situation, a determination will be made as to whether a maintenance team member or subcontractors will perform the necessary maintenance task. No other staff member is authorized to climb to heights exceeding 8 ft. and/or perform such maintenance. In addition, personnel are prohibited from entering facility attics, walking on the roof of buildings and/or from using scaffolding.
