Rome's Flavours is hiring experienced Restaurant Servers for our new Mount Dora location. With over 13 years of experience in authentic Italian dining and a strong culinary reputation, including recognition from the Italian Chef Association, Rome's Flavours is expanding to Mount Dora. We are looking for highly professional, reliable, and personable individuals who are passionate about hospitality and capable of delivering an exceptional dining experience to both local guests and visitors. As a Professional Restaurant Server , you will play an essential role in creating the level of service our guests expect from Rome's Flavours. You will be responsible for providing attentive, polished service while demonstrating strong menu knowledge, wine knowledge, sales ability, and excellent communication skills. Both full-time and part-time positions are available. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, and genuinely enjoys hospitality. Previous full-service restaurant experience is required, and candidates must be comfortable discussing, recommending, presenting, and opening wine. Responsibilities Provide professional, attentive, and courteous service to every guest Accurately take and enter all food and beverage orders Develop a strong knowledge of the restaurant's menu, ingredients, specials, and wine selection Recommend and upsell wines, food items, and additional courses when appropriate Confidently describe wines and assist guests with wine selections Properly present, open, and serve bottles of wine Maintain assigned tables and anticipate guests' needs throughout their dining experience Coordinate with the kitchen and management to ensure proper timing of courses Maintain Rome's Flavours' service standards even during high-volume periods Complete opening, closing, and assigned side work efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room and service areas Follow all restaurant policies, procedures, uniform, and grooming standards Promptly communicate guest concerns, operational issues, or special requests to management Handle restaurant equipment and company property with appropriate care Contribute to a professional, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Requirements Minimum 2 years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant Strong knowledge of wine and willingness to further develop wine knowledge Ability to confidently recommend, sell, present, and open wine Fluent English with excellent verbal communication skills Professional appearance and polished demeanor Excellent manners and guest-service skills Strong work ethic, reliability, and accountability Ability to follow restaurant procedures and management direction Ability to learn the complete food and wine menu within the required training period Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure Ability to work effectively as part of a team Consistent and reliable attendance High School Diploma or equivalent required Must meet all legal age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages in Florida Benefits Competitive tips Flexible scheduling Paid training Employee meals during scheduled breaks Employee discounts Family and friends discounts of up to 50% Discounts with participating businesses in the area Restaurant closed on select major holidays Availability Candidates should have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
