Bussers and Food Runners work together with servers, bartenders, hosts, kitchen staff and management to provide every guest with a smooth, professional and memorable dining experience. As part of the service team, Support Staff share in a portion of the overall tips earned during service. With that comes the responsibility to support the entire restaurant—not just one server, section or assigned area. Every guest and every table contributes to the success of the team, and Support Staff are expected to remain engaged, anticipate needs and assist wherever needed. Primary Responsibilities Deliver food promptly and accurately to the correct table and guest. Know the menu well enough to identify every dish, its basic ingredients and proper accompaniments. Verify that plates are complete and properly presented before leaving the kitchen. Announce dishes clearly and professionally when placing them in front of guests. Never auction food by repeatedly asking, "Who had the grouper?" Assist with clearing and resetting tables throughout the restaurant. Use a large tray when clearing items that cannot be properly carried in one trip. Reset tables quickly and completely according to Parkshore standards. Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, service stations and surrounding areas. Communicate immediately with servers or management when a guest needs assistance. Assist other Support Staff members whenever you see they are busy or falling behind. Experience Previous experience in food service, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with food preparation, serving techniques, and beverage handling is advantageous. Knowledge of Toast POS systems is helpful Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for guest interactions.
