Host / Hostess - Upscale Japanese Restaurant Hikari | Surfside / Miami Beach Hikari is looking for a warm, polished, energetic Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. We are an upscale Japanese restaurant focused on exceptional food, elevated hospitality, and creating a memorable experience from the moment a guest walks through the door. Our host team plays an important role in setting that tone. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Friendly, outgoing, and genuinely enjoys interacting with people Polished and professional in both appearance and communication Confident welcoming and engaging with guests Organized and able to stay composed during busy services Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Comfortable answering phones and managing reservations Able to communicate professionally with guests, servers, managers, and the kitchen Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus, but personality, professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn are just as important to us. The Role Responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations and the waitlist, answering guest calls, coordinating table flow with management and servers, assisting with special requests, and helping ensure every guest receives a warm and professional Hikari welcome.
