Duties Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a high standard of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques. Manage table settings, clear dishes, buss tables, and assist with food handling and sanitation procedures to uphold food safety standards. Use reservation management systems like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements for both large events and regular dining guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, assist with food preparation when needed, and maintain a clean work environment. Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for billing, and process payments via POS systems. Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Support banquet functions by setting up event spaces, serving large groups efficiently, and maintaining a lively yet professional atmosphere suitable for various occasions. Experience Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or banquet settings. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing. Experience with OpenTable reservation management is a plus for coordinating guest seating smoothly. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse needs confidently. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques is essential. Background in hospitality or guest relations roles helps create welcoming environments for all visitors.
