Overview Puka Puka Kitchen is looking for a dependable and friendly Part-Time Server/Cashier to join our team! We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, works well with others, and can keep up in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position is $16 per hour and includes customer service, cashiering, taking orders, serving customers, and helping with online and takeout orders. We use Toast POS, as well as DoorDash and Express Waiters for online orders. Duties Greet customers and provide friendly customer service Take dine-in, takeout, and phone orders Enter and process orders using Toast POS Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and payments Serve food and drinks to customers Manage DoorDash and Express Waiters orders Package and prepare takeout and online orders Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with questions Help keep the dining area and front-of-house clean and organized Restock supplies as needed Work together with kitchen and front-of-house staff Assist with opening and closing duties when scheduled Follow restaurant safety and cleanliness procedures Experience Previous restaurant or cashier experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. We are looking for someone who: Is dependable and arrives on time Has good customer service and communication skills Is comfortable handling cash and payments Can learn and use a POS system such as Toast Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Works well as part of a team Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn Is comfortable handling multiple orders at once
