What You'll Do As a Gypsea Gelato Team Member , you'll help create a welcoming, fun, and clean environment for our guests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Greeting customers and providing friendly, attentive service from the moment they walk through the door Scooping and serving gelato Preparing coffee and specialty drinks Learning our products so you can confidently answer customer questions and make recommendations Operating the POS system and accurately handling customer transactions Setting up, maintaining, and restocking the gelato and pastry displays Restocking supplies throughout the shift (napkins, wipes, cups, cones, spoons, etc.) Keeping counters, equipment, dining areas, and workstations clean and organized Washing dishes and completing routine cleaning and sanitation tasks (including sweeping and mopping) Completing opening and/or closing responsibilities Working cooperatively with fellow team members to keep the shop running smoothly Helping wherever needed during busy periods Who We're Looking For Someone who: Is reliable and shows up ready to work Can work opening and/or closing shifts Has a friendly, positive, and professional attitude Enjoys interacting with customers and providing great service Works well as part of a team Communicates respectfully with coworkers and leadership Is willing to learn and receive feedback Brings a growth mindset and wants to improve their skills Can stay organized and productive during both busy and slower periods Takes pride in keeping the shop clean, stocked, and inviting Is comfortable jumping in and helping teammates when needed What We Offer Base pay including tips Health insurance availability No previous experience required but previous work experience in a retail/restaurant setting welcomed Hands-on training A fun, team-oriented work environment Opportunities to learn new skills Opportunities for additional responsibility and growth for team members who demonstrate reliability, initiative, and leadership And, of course… a workplace filled with gelato!
